On the 12th of April students from MAVC Malta School of Art were welcomed to Naxxar where they experienced a vibrant showcase of artisans, traditional trades, and living craft. While wandering through St. Lucy Street and its alleys they witnessed exhibitions by artisans and local crafts, diverse trades, local food, traditional music, folklore groups, guided tours, and public lectures. The atmosphere echoed Maltese heritage, with live demonstrations, contemporary interpretations, and a shared sense of pride in local craft.

Organised as part of a scheme by the Local Government Division, the celebration reinforced ongoing support for cultural activities that strengthen identity and heritage. The day ran from 10:00am to 6:00pm, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore, engage, and celebrate shared heritage.
As MAVC Malta School of Art, we appreciate Naxxar’s commitment to craft and culture.
