Visit – Sketching and Drawing at St Elmo

On the 3^rd of March 2020, Heritage Malta hosted a group of student/artists from the Mikiel Anton Vasssalli College, Malta School of Art at Ft St Elmo for a hands-on workshop with their tutors. A group of 30 students attended the workshop. After an orientation walk around the fort and the Historical Military Museum, students met staff from Heritage Malta who discussed with them the running of the site and it’s historical importance. 

Later, their tutors advised students how to look at different ways to draw artefacts within the museum and various locations to draw landscapes. The aim of this workshop was to give students the opportunity to learn drawing techniques on site in an informal way.
